Food not all that nice
Lovely food and atmosphere
5 stars go to the new manager Michael for somehow manging to keep the pub open during "the Beast from the East" . He worked tirelessly on his own, kept the place open when everywhere else was shut because of the snow, and maintained a very professional approach throughout what must have been a really tiring and stressful number of days.There seems to have been a lot of comings and goings recently with the management of the Den, most of whom have been mediocre at best, but Michael has definitely improved the place dramatically in the short time he's been in the job.Highly recommended pub - excellent beer, good pub grub and pleasant staff .
Simply the worst customer service I have ever experienced. There was a problem with our main course and the manager couldn't have cared less. No apology, just a half ar*ed attempt at offering more food. The food itself average at best and the waiting time to be served was shocking. 2 hours for a two course meal. Place was understaffed. If it lasts 2 months under current management I'll be surprised.
Lovely to come in out of the sleet and cold into a warm and welcoming place. Food excellent, good value and best of all, quick friendly service.
